Ok, so while tripping along the intertubes today, we heard about this dude who somehow managed to snag a lifetime ban from Apple, because he chose to grab a few iPads for his mates outside of the US. Hmmm, sounds a lot like the time I grabbed a few gen one playstations for friends of mine when I traveled internationally during my med school days. Completely legit. A lifetime ban, Apple? Really?

Ever more onerous terms of service and end-user license agreements make me very nervous. But I guess I should probably be thanking Apple, as without them, I would have ever found out about this guy, named Andy, that this sad sequence of events unfurled for. Andy, it would appear, is about as nerdcore as it gets, having developed a love for gaming, medicine and a certain K-Pop girl group / army called SNSD (yes I’m now a fan too) and taking the time to blog about it.

– graduated from college with a biomedical engineering degree and am now a third year medical student. What kind of a doctor do I want to be? Unknown at this time…

– am a GameDaily.com alumni and formerly kept a gaming blog at GamerFeed/GameDaily for about 3 years. This is a spiritual successor to that blog, no longer limited to videogame discussion. When I started this blog, I had anticipated that life in med school would be my main topic. Funny enough, I ended up slipping into familiar territory and writing more about my hobbies — games, consumer electronics, Asian dramas and music.

Anyhow, Apple, meet me at camera 3. (Turns slightly to the left). OK, Apple, you have this clause on your ToS about resale. I get it. Global distribution, international start dates, and all that. But Apple, oh Apple, isn’t it these types of geek culture, k-pop listening, street fighter crushing, med school hustling customers that you should be vying for, and not alienating? You know, it’s these kindsa dudes that go on to end up writing books, inventing things and building companies. I’m just sayin.

Anyhow, Andy, we’d be honored if you’d consider writing for us as a guest blogger from time to time, is all we’re sayin. And yes, Rez happens to be one of OUR favorite games of all time, and yes, this commercial for the IS-F is awesome.
