Description (Healing Blade Lore)
Doxycycline is a slight warrior, but she packs a punch. She can effectively counter attacks by a wide range of Pestilence agents, including the formidable Bacillus anthracis, and is even deployed proactively when the threat of invasion is high. It is important that she not be stationed on Soma for too long, however, as the power of her presence can thin the boundary wall, making it sensitive to further attack and sun damage.
Doxycycline enters Soma through Buccal Bay—often navigating a one-man submarine, else simply swimming in from the ocean—where again, her mere presence can aggravate the surrounding land and creatures. She then travels through the aqueduct, sometimes disrupting its flow and causing irritation along the banks. When she finally nears the area of Pestilence attack, she breaks out of the aqueduct into Soma’s waterways, which she navigates efficiently to the battle site. She is most effective at times when the running fish populations are low, as they can interfere with her ability to exit the aqueduct and reach the infection.
Like the rest of the tetracycline family, once she has reached the action, she attacks the offenders with her ring weapons, which she is extremely skilled at using. She immediately begins to cut off the Lords’ abilities to assemble the basic building blocks of life, and watches them fall, one by one. She is an independent warrior who likes to fight on her own, but for Soma’s most serious invasions, will work in tandem with other Apothecaries to rid the land of the evil forces that threaten to destroy the world.
